I should have known you were an asshole back when we were together, the way you treated me, you didn’t want a girlfriend, you wanted someone running around saying ‘what’s xxxxxx doing? what’s wrong with xxxxxx? what can I do to make you happy, xxxxxx?’ You didn’t love me the way I loved you.
I should have known you were an asshole when we broke up and the spectacular way you shattered my heart, humiliated me and lied so much that every time you spoke I threw up and I fell asleep crying and and when I woke up my eyes wouldn’t open.
I should have known you were an asshole when you decided to move to the other side of the country - not when I did, you were happy to sacrifice our relationship - even thought you ‘loved’ me so much - but several years later, because someone you’d been friends with for six months moved here.
I should have known.
